All Singapore citizens will receive a tuition grant from MOE and the average school fees for a 3-year course ranges from $27,000-$40,000 depending on the university and type of course. Exceptions apply for courses such as law and dentistry which costs significantly higher.

The stark difference in school fees shows a financial advantage for Singapore citizens and PRs. These are school fees which do not account for additional tuition fees and extra-curricular classes etc. Being a Singapore citizen or PR certainly does come with financial benefits that can lighten the financial burden if you have school-going children.
