If an EP holder stops working for the employer or is holding onto an expired EP, the employing company or agent will need to apply for cancellation of the holder’s pass within 1 week. This can be done through the EP Online portal. Once done, the EP holder will get a cancellation acknowledgement letter and they will receive a short-term visit pass if they are still in Singapore. All other related Dependant Passes, Long Term Visit Passes, LOC and work permits will also be cancelled. Before cancelling the EP, the employing company will need to get tax clearance from IRAS and pay for the EP holder’s return air-fare home. Upon leaving Singapore, the EP holder will need to surrender their short term visit pass to the immigration and the company must return their cancelled EP card to MOM within a week.

If an EP card is lost or damaged, the employing company or agent will need to apply online for a replacement within 1 week. If the card is stolen, a police report will need to be submitted with the application. If the EP holder is not in Singapore, the employing company must notify MOM and MOM will issue a letter for the holder to enter Singapore. To replace an EP card, it will cost S$60 for a damaged card and S$100 for the first time losing an EP card (S$300 thereafter). The EP holder will then have 4 working days to collect the new card at the Employment Pass Services Centre and must present the following documents:

-       Passport
-       Card replacement letter
-       Damaged EP card
-       Declaration form for lost or stolen EP card
-       Police report
